WE PROVIDE:
Many of the families who can afford to pay tuition to send their children to school cannot afford basic educational necessities like books, school supplies, backpacks and even shoes.
Learning can be incredibly difficult for children when they do not have the items that they need in order to learn and SIMDEL addresses these needs by providing these basic necessities to children that need them.
EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES
SCHOOL
IMPROVEMENTS
These children attend school in straw huts with dirt floors and they get their water from a well pump. The conditions of these schools are extremely primitive compared to the public and private schools we’ve been blessed with here in the United States.
SIMDEL plans to invest in the infrastructure of these schools to improve their condition and foster an environment of learning in God’s name that permeates hope and gives these children a bright future to look forward to.

OUR MISSION
SIMDEL Children’s Education Ministry aims to demonstrate Christ’s love by providing the children of Togo, West Africa with basic educational resources and hope for the future.
OUR VISION
Our ministry wants to create a future where families in Togo do not have to choose between food, shelter and education due to economic hardships.
CHANGING LIVES. PROVIDING HOPE.
Imagine living in a region so poor that some children get to go to school and other children get sent away from their families to work as someone’s servant without ever getting the chance to get an education. Imagine how hopeless these children and their families must feel. In Togo, not all opportunities are created equal and some children don’t have a chance to get an education due to lack of basic educational resources like school supplies, backpacks, uniforms, and shoes. It’s a heartbreaking situation and one that no parent or child should have to face.
SIMDEL Children’s Education Ministry was founded by Simplice and Delphine Noutsougan in conjunction with First Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Simplice saw the effect that extreme poverty has on the children of Togo firsthand as a school teacher prior to immigrating to the United States. He saw children and their families with limited options and no hope for the future, so he decided to take action, gather donations from his brothers and sisters in Christ and fight poverty in his native land head on.
Torch Audio Bibles
Help Children Get To Know Jesus
Many children in Togo live in such extreme poverty that they do not have electricity at home. For only $50, you can give a child and their family an audio bible translated in their native language, complete with a LED flashlight that runs on solar power!

In 2023, SIMDEL distributed 110 Torch Audio Bibles to families in Togo.
